RK, just bought group 31s to replace the 8Ds that didn't last 2 years, at napa for $99s each, cables can reach but look for corrosion, I turned my 31s a little counter clockwise and put a 10" 2X4 to hold it against the front of the pullout tray, and do dissconnect batterys when not using for a while, I have 3 sets one for generator start, 2 for house 12V power and 2 for engine start two making 24V, the 2 behind passenger are the engine start, as has been mentioned before, cold areas are more in need of the 8D cold cranking than above freezing areas, I took that advise, thanks guys, and saved $300 and a pain in the back, lvmci...
