Hello from Missouri
« on: July 09, 2012, 03:15:47 PM »
New member,
We have a 1999 MCI E4500.
We have had two previous motorhomes and have finally stepped up to a bus. We had a Dutch Star, but it just wouldn't stay together. Then we went into a partnership with a Winnebago Journey and I just never liked it.
I love our bus! It's just the right size for two.

Thank you,
Sincerely,
Larry

Hi Larry,

Welcome to the board.  Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but you may be the first 4500 on the board.  VERY COOL coach!

When you have time, post some more pictures.

I won't admit that I'm jealous, but I will admit that I'm impressed.

Are you "full time" on the road?

Welcome aboard, Larry. Nice looking coach. How does it drive?

I am guessing that you are around Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Am I close?

Happy to have you on board. So far we are a great group of guys (I don't mean to boast ;D). Ask any question, and sometimes we will have a response. Give any bit of advice and somebody might like it.

God bless,

John

Thanks for the warm welcome.
We bought it last year for my wife and I to travel far and wide. It drives like a dream straight and true. No wandering rear end like some others I've had. We just do small trip vacations and such, maybe a week or two at a time. It had 38,000 miles on it when we bought it. It came from Florida. (or so that's where it was when I bought it) If anyone knows the previous owner or owners, I would be interested in knowing more of her history. We are North of Kansas City on the Missouri side.
We had the interior completely remodeled. We took it up to Panterra coach in Angola, Indiana. I knew I wanted that style of bus and knew the inside could be easily changed. So we bought it with the intention of changing the interior right away. Now we have a nice kitchen, booth and table with captains chairs for passengers and a new beverage refrigerator for those thirsty times. I would certainly recommend Panterra Coach for anything you need done. I would have liked to do it myself but I farmed it out or it wouldn't have been done within 5 years or more.
We look forward to many miles on the road.
Sincerely,
Larry

Welcome Larry nice ride, wish I was your wife. Oh wait my wife might get upset, LOL 5 years heck some of us have still not finished and have a lot more years than that. I know busnuts that went to their 1st rally with a port-a-potty, an ice-chest and a sleeping bag, and called it a motor-home. My tires are more than 5 years old,( note to self buy new good take offs). So enjoy and keep on building and changing the oil and fix your leveling valves ( sorry John) and then tell us all about it and we will cheer you on.

It was in Ocala Fl when we looked at I have the Co's name that owned it and I have a copy some where of the work that done that was the part I didn't like to much work on the suspension for a low mileage bus but some work was done on a recall from MCI.

Plus he would not let me use a Pro/link to check mileage and fuel,I got a history of the work , lien holders  and owners thru CarFax

I have no idea what you paid but his starting numbers were crazy for the coach
